A layout

This afternoon I completed a layout with a pre-prepared background paper.  I spent 7 minutes from start to finish cutting out the flower, and rest of the time poking holes for the brads.

The layout is of my mother's parents and some of her siblings at "The Pines" in Hervey Bay, where my family camped for 30+ years until the council closed it.

Photo to follow shortly

My friend Helen's display

I was lucky enough to see this wonderful display in person.
This layout is of a photo that Helen took from the Maryborough Outdoor Expo that was held in August 2008. (I pinched it from her blog).

Pop over to her blog and peek at what Helen has been up to lately. Don't forget to log onto her online website for some great products too.

What have I been up to lately...

Well here are 2 layouts I have done in the past week from just 1 layout pack from work. My DD loves to take photos of herself in the mirror. Hard to admit but she does take a great photo from time to time from her point & shoot digital camera.

For Linda

I did this layout for Linda on Friday night at The Creative Artz Cottage's fortnightly Scrap N Chat. I hadn't been along for the several weeks and this is the first time I have scrapped in that time. I hope that she likes it.

Update Update Update

Father I must confess it has been 1/12 since I last blogged....... LOLOLOL

(Those of you that do know me personally know that I am a "sit on the fence" when it comes to religion. I know, I know, I married an Italian catholic, I was married in a catholic church, my children are baptised catholic, my children go to a catholic primary school & I am a sit on the fencer.)

Where do I start....... Oh yes that's right:

  • I haven't got to school to ask/inquire about the fundraiser with Stampin Up! for the fete
  • I haven't got any prizes yet for our "Girls Nite In" scrap night fundraiser for Cancer
  • I haven't been to a workshop/class for over a month
  • I did get a Highly Commended at the Maryborough Show in May
  • I will be working 6 days a week for the next month
  • My princess (maybe not) has gotten into Shalom College next year
  • I am on the beg, grovel, plead for prizes for the SSS fundraiser, so if anyone out there would like to donate please feel free to contact me or check out the SSS blog
  • I have done several layouts for online comps - ASJ, OSS & sketches oz (Thanks to Petrina for doing some of her magic on my terrible photos)

"Camp 2005" created by My daughter, Marie.

"Pixie Pix" created by me using Ann Lederhose's sketch.

A layout I have done recently for a LSS challenge.

04 November, 2006

I am about to brag here. Last weekend I entered Scrapapple's Weekend Workout Competition. The subject was handmade embellishments. I didn't expect to win as there many great Layouts entered.

This is the 2nd time I have won Scrapapple's Weekend Workout Competition, the 1st time was a month prior. I must say a HUGE Thank You Kelly & Dawn for the wonderful scrap packs that I have received. I have already put them to great use.

I entered a monthly competition on KitiQ's website, but was unsuccessful this time but they asked me if they could still put my layouts up on their website despite the competition closing (the day before I emailed my entries in). Next time maybe.

I say a Congratulations to Petrina for her win on Scrappy Kreations' website monthly competition. This I entered also but once again was too late when emailing my entry in. Next time :-)
